RAIN Performances at PS²
1 - 4pm
A performance event in response to RAIN curated by Hugh O'Donnell and hosted by the PS² Project Space as part of Squared Sundays, with work by Sinéad O'Donnell, Poshya Kakil & Leo Devlin.
Squared Sunday’s at PS²
Over nine Sundays, audiences are invited to explore the inner city and Cathedral Quarter in Belfast as an urban tourist. The environment on the doorstep of PS² has much more to offer than parking spaces and shopping opportunities. It is packed with historical buildings, small alleyways, empty plots and courtyards, urban plants and trees, magpie nests, shine spikes, plaques, rubbish, beauty and unoccupied imagination.
For Squared Sunday, artists will take you on an urban safari: outdoors with tours, walks and short workshops exploring the area; indoors with drop in sessions, classes on urban observation and how to paint, print, cut, glue, stitch the experience into crafty art pieces- small urban souvenirs to take home- all for free. The café, a hangout with newspapers, games, info, art books and gossip.
Each Sunday is curated and led by a different artist with a distinct theme and visual realisation. The programme consists of creative workshops, walks, games, performances, sound, mess and beauty; all are free to participate in, observe or view from a distance.
